Happy Sunday! How has your week been?

This week it's all about the food! Why explore food? Because when food is simple, easy and taken care of, there is more time for play, creativity, connection and relaxation! 💞☮

I don't know if you're anything like me, but food used to take up a lot of head space... I think I've done food in every possible way! I've been a 'fly by the seat of my pants' kind of gal, eat out all of the time, wing it, Sunday markets, had food delivered weekly and asked my husband to cook all our food!

I used to say to my body, 'Come on body, show me how to connect with my inner food goddess - she's gotta be in there somewhere!'

Finally, my inner food goddess revealed herself! It only took her a few years but awesome that she's here now! 😂 What I'm sharing with you are simple suggestions, but always trust what works for you and your family situation!

Six Food Tips:

1. Plan your meals for each night of the week, so you know what ingredients to buy. This way you only need to shop once a week.

2. Double the recipe or create larger servings so you can freeze lots of extra meals!

3. Allocate a day/half a day to cooking so food is all organised for meals and lunches.

4. Include easy recipes that require little time to put together eg Acai bowl, yoghurt and fruit, roast vegies etc

5. Eat out once a fortnight - enjoy having a chef cook for you!

6. No cooking on weekends - the leftovers are for the weekend!

THOUGHTS ARE ENERGY

It is just so important to be conscious of the thoughts you are thinking, because every thought is energy!! We are really passionate about this in Body Consciousness!! I have the perfect example of how this played out in our home this week!! Our family became really sick for a day (both ends - apologies if this is too much info!!). However, we looked at it with awareness (yep we do this most days❤) and understood what was happening in our home. One of us in particular was 'losing' a lot of energy (hence sickness) by giving a lot of thought to 'wishing things could be different' with another person. This meant a lot of energy was being invested in pleasing this other person. With this awareness (awareness is what heals), our family member is now creating new thoughts that give to our whole family and moving on from the 'struggle' of pleasing another. The new thoughts are now really supportive of what can be created in our family life!!
